This tool has been specifically developed to help SME users to assess the toxicity, environmental fate and human health effects of their chemicals using freely available non- testing methods such as (Q)SAR.

The TESS team recognized that there is an urgent need to help SMEs to find relevant information and to help them use (Q)SAR to fill the data gaps for their products so as to reduce the cost of REACH registration.

The material and resources available with this tool will help you to understand the process of filling the data gap and to identify the hazard of your chemical being persistant, bioaccumlative and toxic (PBT) using (Q)SAR.

This tool will provide a stepwise guide on how to use QSAR methods to fill your data gap and to assesss the environmental impact of your chemical (PBT statue).

This page provides guidance for using QSAR to assess human health toxicity. It also includes stepwise guidance to help you to identify the hazard of your chemical being a potential mutagen or endocrine disruptor.

This tool will provide guidance about rapid screening tests available for human toxicity and will also report some research into further developing rapid screening methods using lab on a chip technology.
